Amgen Tour of California Stage 6

ATOC Stage 6 Santa Clarita Time Trial
Peter Sagan (Tinkoff - Saxo) won Stage 6 of the Amgen Tour of California. Sagan had the best time in the time trial at 12:31 over the 6.6 mile (10.6km) course in Santa Clarita. Sagan takes the overall lead in the multistage race by 28 seconds over Tom Skujins (Hincapie Racing team) who has led the race for the past three stages. Today's stage was moved from Big Bear to Santa Clarita due to weather.
Saturday's stage up to the Mount Baldy ski area at 6,500 feet (1981m) is considered the "Queen's Stage" of this year's race. The final climb of the day has an 9% average gradient, with some sections at 15%. This stage will probably decide the winner of the race. With 21 riders within 1:30 of Sagan, the race to the top of Mt. Baldy could be an all day duel.
